In the past few months the color burgundy has been a prime color in everyone’s wardrobe. Starting early fall and making its way into winter, this reddish-purple hue stepped on the scene as a neutral color making appearances with other neutrals such as navy blue, grey, and black. It seems as though burgundy not only has been worn as clothing, but in accessories such as hats, jewelry, and shoes as well; not to mention the sultry look it gives to nails and lips. Luckily for you, burgundy isn’t a hard color to pull off, essentially making any skin color stand out. Thrifting Fashion Tip: Be bold and beautiful with burgundy during these chilly months while you can, and you’ll be sure to turn heads. xx Vintage Vogue xx

“The most important thing to remember is that you can wear all the greatest clothes and all the greatest shoes, but you’ve got to have a good spirit on the inside. That’s what’s really going to make you look like you’re ready to rock the world.” If you haven't gotten it by now, I'm obsessed with oversized items for the winter. These items can be sweaters, jackets, and/or cardigans. It's all about pairing this items with the perfect fitted counter items. What do I mean by that? If you are wearing an oversized sweater, go with a fitted bottom or no bottom at all (that's if the garment is long enough to cover what needs to be covered) If you're wearing baggy bottoms, pair it with a fitted top. You can throw on an oversized cardigan if you like. That could work too. Thrift Tip: Wearing too many oversized items at once can make you look like your wearing your older sibling's hand-me-downs. You want to find the perfect baggy for your body type and offset the loose fitting items with something fitted. (pssst. ladies... this look also gives the illusion that you're smaller as well) Thrift Attire Description: Black Scarf ($4.99), Extra Long Embellishment Scarf Chain ($3.94), Tommy Hilfiger Sweater (Soon to be available for purchase), Maroon ASOS pant ($4.95), Black Booties ($50.00)* *Don't be mad at me! This isn't the first time seeing this face. John started with The Color Tag as a Thrifter [Not So] Anonymous, but we loved his look & personality sooooo much that we had to feature him once more! From a photo submission to featured model... John Smith John came prepared with this awesome multicolored track jacket paired with a red snapback hat. What a perfect styling match! The red hat added the extra touch needed to make the red pop in his shirt. He was matching but not too "matchy" which seems to be a problem for most. You like what you see?!?!
